You have mastered the start of your studies and you want to know the career prospects that are offered to you after finishing your degree. The Siemens mentoring program provides you with practical answers.

Career-building by Siemens senior-executives for TUM students:

IT- or technology-related TUM students will be guided and advised by Siemens senior executives over the duration of at least one year. As a mentee, you will be able to experience the corporate culture of a global enterprise at first hand and you will be supported and mentored in your personal study and career planning. At the heart of the program lies the individual development – as a future professionals and as a person. Internships and working student jobs at Siemens ensure the practical application of your studies.

How does the application process work?

After examining the written application (submission deadline September 1st, 2019), an invitation to an approx. 30-minute selection interview with the pre-selected applicants will take place in the same month. Subsequently, the applicants are notified, whether they are selected for the mentoring program.

Who is advising me? Who are the mentors?

The partners in the program within Siemens AG are the group-wide research department Siemens Corporate Technology, the Information Technology, Building Technologies, Digital Factory, Mobility and Siemens Healthineers divisions. From among these organizations, mentors are selected, that are from the management level, principals or department heads.

What benefits do I have from the mentoring program?

Every mentee is accompanied by their own mentor from Siemens AG for one year. The program provides students with insights into Siemens AG and offers them the opportunity to build an important professional network before starting their careers. For a better insight into the different research areas of the Siemens AG student challenges in AI, robotics, IT security, simulation, energy systems etc. are offered.
